Mechatronics Engineering laboratory

The laboratory was established in the Mechanical Engineering block of the laboratory complex in the year 1994, measuring 66 sq.m carpet area. The laboratory comprises of Hydraulic and pneumatic Trainer Kit, Process Station, DC motor and Temperature Controller with PID Interfacing, Stepper motor interfaced with 8081 micro controller. The objective of conducting the practical classes in the laboratory is to develop the skills in performing design and testing of circuits in Electro pneumatic trainer kit, Simulation of Hydraulic, pneumatic and electro pneumatic circuits in automation studio software, Design build and test the real time systems in LabVIEW software, Automatic system monitoring using process station for process variables like flow, pressure and temperature, programming of 8051 microcontroller to run the stepper motor, PID interfacing for temperature control in temperature controller and speed control in DC motor. The laboratory is supported with 10KVA UPS for uninterrupted power supply.Apart from conducting the laboratory classes, the lab facilities are effectively utilized for conducting research work, fabrication of project works of the students.
