Manufacturing Process laboratory

Manufacturing Process laboratory

This practical course aims to provide the students with practical knowledge in basic manufacturing processes that could be performed in standard machine tools such as shaping, milling, slotting, grinding and allied machinesThe practical classes provide opportunity for students to learn the methods to machine the models to desired accuracy and quality. The emphasis throughout the laboratory course will be on understanding the basic features of the processes and acquiring machining to operate the machines. At the end of the semester, student will be capable of demonstrating the various basic operations such as Shaping square block, Machining single point cutting tool ,Machining key ways , Machining a Spur gear and Helical worm gear, Milling a Polygon Surface ,Measuring cutting tool forces ,Drilling and tapping.
